At A2MS – Aussie Academics and Migration Services (“A2MS”, “we”, “our”, “us”), your privacy is our priority. We are committed to protecting your personal information and handling it responsibly in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information when you visit our website; enquire about or use our education or migration services; complete our contact or social-media enquiry forms (including Facebook and Instagram Instant Forms); or communicate with us by email, phone, WhatsApp or other channels. It also explains how to seek access or correction and raise a privacy complaint.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect personal information from you in several ways, including when you:

  • Enquire about our migration or education services
  • Book a consultation or submit a form via our website
  • Apply for admission, visa assistance, or other related services
  • Subscribe to our newsletter or marketing updates, or contact us through Facebook or Instagram enquiry forms, social media, email, phone or WhatsApp

The types of information we may collect include:

  • Personal details: full name, date of birth, nationality, and contact information
  • Education details: academic history, qualifications, English test scores, study interests, preferred course or provider, current location, intended study timeline and the type of education guidance requested. An initial education enquiry ordinarily requires only contact details and information relevant to the enquiry.
  • Visa and migration details: passport information, visa history, and relevant documentation
  • Financial information: only when required for visa or education application purposes
  • Website usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and cookies

2. How We Use Your Information

We collect and use your personal information to:

  • Provide and manage education and migration consulting services
  • Process applications and communicate with education providers or government departments
  • Respond to your enquiries and provide updates
  • Improve our website and service experience
  • Send you relevant news, updates, or promotional offers (you can opt out anytime)

We use personal information for the purposes for which it was collected and for other purposes permitted by law.
Facebook and Instagram lead forms: If you submit an A2MS education enquiry through a Meta Instant Form, we may receive your name, email address, phone number, location, education interests and answers to our qualifying questions. We use these details to respond to your enquiry, consider relevant course or provider options and arrange education counselling where requested. Meta separately handles information collected through its services under its own privacy notices. Please do not submit passport details, health information or other sensitive documents through an initial social-media enquiry form.

3. Disclosure of Your Information

We may share your information with:

  • Education institutions (schools, colleges, universities) for application purposes
  • Government departments and authorities (e.g., Department of Home Affairs)
  • Third-party service providers (such as IT, marketing, or data storage services)
  • Partner organisations who assist in delivering our services

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it where needed to deliver services, where you request or authorise us to do so, or where required or permitted by law. We take reasonable steps when working with providers that handle personal information for us.
Overseas disclosures: Some digital and communication service providers, including social media and cloud-service operators, may process information outside Australia. Overseas processing or disclosure may involve the United States and other countries in which those providers operate. Where relevant to an education or migration matter, we may also share information with overseas organisations at your request or as reasonably necessary for an instructed service. Destinations depend on the provider and matter; contact us for information about disclosures relevant to your circumstances.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Information may be held in electronic or physical records, including systems operated by service providers, with access limited according to business needs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Retention: We retain personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed to respond to enquiries, provide services, manage records or meet legal requirements. When information is no longer needed and no law requires its retention, we take reasonable steps to securely destroy or de-identify it.

5. Access and Correction

You may request access to personal information we hold about you, or request a correction if it is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Please contact info@a2ms.com.au. We may need to verify your identity before providing information and will respond within a reasonable period. You can make a general enquiry without identifying yourself where practicable, although we need suitable contact information to respond to individual service enquiries.

6. Cookies and Website Tracking

Our website uses, or may use, cookies, analytics and advertising measurement technologies, including Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) tools, to maintain functionality, understand website visits and measure communication or advertising effectiveness. Such platforms may collect device and website interaction information under their own privacy policies. You can manage cookies using browser settings and available website consent controls, although disabling some cookies may affect website features.

7. Marketing Communications

We may send updates about education opportunities, migration news or A2MS services where permitted and subject to any required consent. Submitting an enquiry or lead form allows us to respond about that enquiry; it does not by itself signify consent to unrelated promotional communications. You can opt out of marketing communications using the unsubscribe method provided or by contacting info@a2ms.com.au.
